Fruit Flavored Cigarettes Now Illegal in United States;

Wow,

So as of TODAY SEPTEMBER 23, 2009 YOU CAN NOT purchase cloves, any favored blunts or flavored cigarettes. Smoking, buying or selling them is ILLEGAL!!

According to the act

…a cigarette or any of its component parts (including the tobacco, filter, or paper) shall not contain, as a constituent (including a smoke constituent) or additive, an artificial or natural flavor (other than tobacco or menthol) or an herb or spice, including strawberry, grape, orange, clove, cinnamon, pineapple, vanilla, coconut, licorice, cocoa, chocolate, cherry, or coffee, that is a characterizing flavor of the tobacco product or tobacco smoke

The entire premise behind the act  is that  they believe flavored tobacco makes it more appealing to  children and adults who haven’t ever smoked before.

Shoot me… But I agree. The 1st and ONLY time I smoked a cigarette I was about 12. don’t judge me. I along with a couple of my friends decided to see how it felt. I only puffed ONCE and didn’t inhale, I hated the way it tasted and I hated how it went down your throat.  Later on in life when I was able to purchase tobacco legally. I smoked hookah and loved it, smoked a clove and enjoyed it. Not that I do either on a regular basis now, but the flavor of the tobacco made it more appealing to me. and not because it looks good to smoke. I personally think anyone should be hooked on anything be in weed,cigarettes, alcohol, drugs etc. Now I’m wondering if they will still sell hookah?

So tell me how you feel about it? Do you wish you would have stocked up? Are you still going to smoke cigarettes, cigars etc but the non-flavored brand. Do you even know this bill was in action? I guess yall will go back to black and milds..

Speak on it..

    I just read another article that says the most kids enjoy the tobacco and mint (menthol) flavors the most, and didn’t really care for the ones that are being banned! So this may have little impact.

    And Philip-Morris, the tobacco giant who controls fully half of the U.S. cigarette market share, was really pushing for this bill to go through cause all they make are Tobacco and Menthol flavored cigarettes >.<
